  1. Although Arsenal won in ‘71 that was the game that changed me. I’d been a Charlton, Best & Law fan before that but, I had this Scouse mate in London who steeped me in the Shankly legend. By 1971; he’d nabbed me. 13,000 miles away, as the 71 final began I wanted Arsenal to win but, by extra time, that’d changed. I was gutted when Charlie George scored the winner. I’ve never looked back. A Cockney/ Aussie Red since I was 11. Bring on Madrid in Paris; 3-1 Liverpool, and let’s hope City fail under pressure this week.

  2. On an spring afternoon of 1989, a tragedy happened and changed our club forever. These words made me feel so much into the sadness.
    JTF97 – never forget.

  3. As an American late to the club ( 97 ), roommate in college was a Scouser and his mum would mail us recorded games to watch in the dorms. I loved how the team had grit, skill and a passionate 12th man at home and on the road. Upon learning about the tragedies our magnificent club, supporters and the UK had suffered, the perseverance and the continued efforts of LFC makes today's successes that much sweeter. It means more here. YNWA
