That LFC midfield should of had been awarded Thiago – 6, Fab – 5 & Hendo – 5. They were so poor in attack and defense, the legs were found wanting and Jurgen needs to address this issue as its not going to be a quick fix.
Ale the Liverpool hater will eat his words
City would be wishing they could face Man United in their remaining fixtures. Lucky Liverpool.
City players selfies kill the game..
And these game City need Gundogan.
Liverpool miss a fully fit Ox. He did for us what KDB does for MC. Pacey run from the midfield.
Liverpool looked nervous at the back, especially in the first half.
I wish we could get 50% of each leagues matches as intense as this. Football would be out of this world.
Lucky Liverpool
Liverpool had a good 20min period
First n second half n scored from both period.
City let this one go. Missed chances cost em
More like a big missed opportunity
for Man City to me.
Matip was superb. Stopped tons of chances…. Shuda been man of the match
Liverpool dropped points Brighton at home a draw, West ham away they lost
City have to play those exact fixtures,
that may be where the title is decided
If Liverpool win all their games
And City have Wolves away , I seem to recall a very dodgy sending off and Penalty were needed at the Etihad
both home teams scored first but couldn't hold a lead.
Man City is profligate. Liverpool was clinical. It's better to take the chances that you get vs creating chance after chance that your midfielders nervously punt into the stands or curl wide of the post. Every top striker in the world was all slaver and lust to see those chances City created. Bring one in and turn him loose.
Do it. Bring in Mo Salah on a two year deal at 350k/wk. Let me check… Yep, oil still popular, money no problem.
Missed opportunity for City. They had more chances. Liverpool survived.
Game was a delight to watch. Both teams trying to beat the high line and the quality of some of the passes was breathtaking.
The ratings were pretty fair. Overall, City were a bit better, though 2-2 wasn't outrageous. Sane was the best player for Liverpool I think, though he's right that Matip was very good. I think Thiago especially was terrible, and very fortunate to not be sent off. Fabinho was better than him but also dabbled with getting multiple cards. As far as Man City, I think his marks were also quite accurate. Had Sterling's goal stood then he might have got an 8. Jesus and De Bruyne were both excellent.
If it’s still just 1pt on the last day, it’ll be dangerous, because Gerrard will park the bus to hold City to a 0-0 draw
That Thiago bit sad absolute BS. The exact reason he was brought in was so we could have possession against the top teams.
How do pep do it. Jesus didnt play for a long time but when pep give him chance he plays like he is a regular. Baffles me how both pep and klopp manages their players.
Money Manager vs. Class Manager.
I think Stevie nichol was spot on with player ratings
A lot of pundits and purple, including myself, thought the title race was over a couple months ago…. I'm just totally impressed with both sides pushing each other so much and giving us excitement at the top of the table.
City should’ve won easy but not having a striker always hurts them….plain as day city was the better team
It was not just a big miss for Liverpool but for mostly for mancity to extend there lead
3:25 I bursted out laughing when he said “Liverpool we’re just bang average” ?
Respect for allowing the gentlemen to really speak their minds ??
Arm chair pundit of football days gone. They wouldn't make it in current Liverpool or City team nor intense Premier League.
Don't agree with trent, he made interceptions that saved Liverpools bacon. Fabino didn't have a good game
That same game at Anfield with the position that Liverpool are in, deffo win this game
Cancelo for Ballon d'Or. At least top 3. There is no one like him right now.
"Liverpool were bang average". Stevie PLEASE give City credit for limiting Liverpool'S opportunities. City was much better, not "slightly".
As a Liverpool fan, I think Liverpool were lucky to get away with a point. This game was city’s to win, but they pull their foot off the gas in the second half after mane goal. But city were the better team. Liverpool did well too. To be honest I don’t think Sterling goal was offside even though VAR said it was. If there was no VAR sterling goal would have been a goal and City would have won the game. But overall a classic and good game from two of the best teams in the world right now. It’s like El-Classico between Real Madrid and Barcelona
"Everton couldn't win a game until man utd popped up" – Craig ??
Fixed. Thank you.
Good summary by Stevie. City should have destroyed us and missed a massive opportunity to kill it off. Our midfield is just far too slow without the ball. Too many 30 year olds in the team. City and esp KDB ran past it for fun! Need new blood like Bellingham in the summer. Forget the title City will easily win their games against that opposition. It is what they do. Also I can't see us beating Utd, Everton and Spurs! Form goes out of the window in derby games. YNWA
Missed opportunity? Of course it would be phrased that way. What opportunity? ? Very lucky to get anything out of it. Bad City headers lead to both goals. Got away with too many yellow cards. That VAR decision is very dubious, the line doesn't seem to stop in front of where Sterling is, it's off to his left so it can go below the other line. No surprises though.
Lfc badly miss Gini in the midfield and it so obvious when we play city he has a bit of everything. What other Lfc fan misses Gini. ?
Missed opportunity for Liverpool!!? If anything it was missed opportunity for City.
Offside disallowed, Free kick hits the post, missed Chip by Mahrez, dominated the play. Liverpool got away with it again. Just like Milner earlier Thiago should hv been sent off.
