6. It's simple – he shouldn't have gone to Milan. The fans might love him but he wasn't Kaka or Seedorf. Or Italian. He was never going to be taken seriously as a footballer at that time – AC Milan was already a sinking ship. They were signing R9, Beckham on loan and had players like Nesta, Maldini, Costacurta, Seedorf and Inzaghi (who were all ancient, no disrespect). Gattuso wasn't the same after his legs had gone either. Nor were Kaka & Sheva after rejoining. Serie As reputation was the only thing keeping it afloat. Barca should have kept Rijkaard, or appointed Mourinho. Ronaldinho might not have regained his form though. Rijkaard fell out with some of the plyers (Eto'o) and Mourinho couldn't get the best out of the more temperamental players like Quaresma or Balotelli so who knows. Roma, a move back to PSG or Mourinho's Chelsea would have been the best options to revive his career.
