  1. Come on, we are Newcastle United not Newcastle Ununited this is why people love us because we support our players and club, let's support our player Sandro Tonali 🏁🏁🏁🏁💜

  2. Commenting before watching.

I was pissed about the Tonali thing at first but you have to take the positives in this. He can spend more time learning Eddies tactics and formation while improving his English. I do think we will be fine without him for a while as we have Joelinton, Anderson and Willock to cover for him. He will return a much better player once he doesn't have this hanging over him and who knows this could be the reason he's not performed as well as people know he can. I guess we will have to wait and see but lets support the lad through it.

  3. alot of Newcastle fans feel cheated by this debacle and of course want to "return to sender" thing to happen…Of course i can understand this but from an AC Milan fan i can also tell these people that we are EQUALLY offended especially if discovered that he bet AGAINST Ac Milan… Either way, this is disappointing for us, the majority of fans wished him well on his next chapter of his career away from us. This sucks for everyone involved, and right now more so for Newcastle FC. We are not celebrating the situation.

Lets see how the investigation pans out… if indeed AC Milan did know about it before the transfer, then shame on us too…

  4. Yep, this is a shit position to be in, Tonali is in the wrong for allowing things to get this far and land us in the shit, however, there's one way he can make this right, and that's by putting 100% effort into sorting himself out and coming back stronger, and by the end of the ban being able to take his level up a notch to make up for that year he's out and help take us places he was bought for. However, I'm not expecting loyalty from footballers these days, and who knows what he's thinking right now, however, what I do know, if you haven't suffered addiction before, then you might not know the level of thinking involved, he might have not meant for things to get this far and might have even hoped he'd have gotten away with it and could just continue with his career with us. BUT, that isn't the case, and here we are. I'll be behind him though, and I hope things get better from here, and I'll be 100% behind him at the end of it, I just hope he's willing to put things right and the club and player are willing to put this right

  5. Milan had to sell players anyway of course however they should have disclosed the betting situation with Tonali when they accepted our offer for the player – IF they knew about it.
IF Milan knew, and even if Tonali is prepared to give evidence against them, the toon lawyers will probably want corroborating evidence to show to UEFA, or a court.
Finding that evidence may be virtually impossible – unless the prosecutors on the betting cases already have it. A claim for compensation may not be as easy as some seem to think.

  6. I do wonder if his career at the club is done for now, over before it started! I was really excited about the signing and thought he would be an amazing player for us, and I was really happy to have him at the club…until now. I can't help but feel that he has betrayed us as a club, and its disrespectful, we've been such a welcoming club for him, making him feel at home, both at the top and the fan base as well, and it's awful that he (obviously) and his agent knew this gambling addiction thing was going on and may come out. It's hurtful, I am sure Yasir, Mehrdad, Amanda, Jamie and the others at the top feel really betrayed by the player and his agent. I'm sure they will help him with his addiction but he needs to do the honourable thing and agree to a wage reduction while not playing.

AC Milan are definitely going to get legal action against them, that's a certainty!

  7. The disrespect for AC Milan is real. Newcastle went to the player FIRST and made an offer. Then Newcastle initiated the contact with Milan to buy the player. How is all of that Milans fault?

Milan are currently under observation from UEFA for FFP breaches dating back half a decade ago, before the US management took over. You think Milan would risk their own hide if they knew about Tonalis gambling problem? Heck, they would've cut the player out from their team ages ago if that were the case.

Newcastle initiated the purchase of Tonali, if anything why didnt their side do their due diligence?

  8. No sympathy whatsoever – these athletes are MASIVELY overpaid and they have to gamble on top? Some of us really NEED a few hundred quid and think, what the heck, that horse might win and there's my holiday/fridge/TV or whatever. He and AC Milan – who surely knew (?) – need to get that £55 million back to us. I'm imagining a few instalments haven't actually been coughed up yet. Betting on your own professional team – as far as I'm concerned this is sporting fraud – it should be a serious criminal offence – if it isn't already.
