  1. What a man proper club legend still remember his goals like it was yesterday, and his 220+ league goals (2nd to Shearer) to not be recognised coz of the PL era is an absolute disgrace !!!!

  2. The Club should build a Gold Statue of our Sir Ian outside of The Kop End of Anfield. I was lucky enough to grow up watching him play and probably watched him score 99% of his Goals, I loved him then and I love him now, to me, he was and still is my favourite player of all time. I love the Mural, but he deserves a statue. YNWA.

  3. Remember hid debut ..and my Dad saying " Jesus who's that "…the pace of him….sorry to upset the others whove followed him. But this bloke will forever be the best goalscorer we've ever had

  4. I hope the record is broken one day, because it will mean that we have an absolute beast of a striker playing for us. Not likely though lol

  5. God bless Aldo for his words. He should have played for us for a little longer than his 2 and a bit years and it was Rushie returning from Juve that made Kenny sell him. Good he doesn't hold any grudges.

  6. I was there for his second game for Liverpool at Villa Park for the League Cup final replay. He came on and rattled the bar with a tremendous shot. I just thought at the time bloody hell who is this.

  7. Murals should be a thing all around the houses and city centre of Liverpool i just love the idea of a pictorial history of Liverpool Beatles etc painted on the side of buildings!!!! and taking a photo and youve got a legend…… FFS get ORIGI somewhere!!!! Dude needs to know we appreciate him!!!! Rafa and the the rest of the managers shouldve gotten one

  8. There was no catching Ian Rush .. as soon as he put on the after burners he was gone !!!!!. His movement and speed was way ahead of its time !!!. If he played now he would definitely score bucket load of goals every season !!!.

  9. Absolutely brilliant player i saw him a few time he was tireless on the pitch he would run all day for the club ,and with the new footballs it could have been a lot more ,thank you RUSHY.

  10. In 1992, at age of 12 this man single handedly made my brother and I fall in love with LFC. What a legend!
