  1. During that horrible 1st half I muted the TV because I couldn't stand any more commentary on how good Villarreal was doing and how bad we were. At halftime I remembered have read once a sentence telling that LFC had been ""2nd half FC" this season. I thought "well, if there's a day to be '2nd half FC', this is the day"… Somehow, they thought the same : )

  2. I have have to disagree with Ale Moreno's take on this match. Look at Liverpool's goal scoring record this season. Look how few times they have failed to score. When Manchester United won the treble in '99 they played Inter Milan in an away tie in the quarter final (I think I'm correct. I'm not a United supporter). Alex Ferguson was interviewed beforehand and he said 'we always score'. They ended up drawing 1-1 and going through on away goals. It didn't matter what Villareal did Liverpool were always going to score in this game. That was virtually guaranteed.

  3. How many clean sheets does LFC have? Yet our fullbacks can't defend. How many trophies are LFC competing for in May? Yet our fullbacks can't defend. No one is buying what you keep trying to sell.

  4. 51 – 49? That guy would be a sucker gambler. 51-49 might be closer to the odds in the Champions League Final. When three completely separate things have to go right for you, even if each one is probable, the odds go way down. What's the odds of making both free throws in a basketball game? Only about 50%. I would love to see Liverpool win the quadruple, but the odds are definitely well against them.

  5. I agree with a lot of what's been said. To add to what Ale said about Villarreal's second goal, I think they felt they had achieved a difficult and major accomplishment by tying the series in front of their home fans. During half-time, they must have decided to play more cautiously and hit Liverpool on the break, hoping that momentum and the fans would carry them the rest of the way. Probably would have been better off not to have scored it before the break, needing instead to keep the pressure, intensity and attack the whole game through. They became afraid of losing after having accomplished so much. Really entertaining game to watch!!

  6. These pundits clearly didn’t give enough credit to Liverpool overcoming the deficit in second half. They keep talking about how brilliant Villareal is.

If Villareal was a better football team, aint no way they lose this game.

    Freaking bias pundits.

  7. Liverpool was just teasing villarreal in the 1st half like a father would tease a son by giving them an easy game and false sense of a competition.

  8. Bizarre no one is critiquing the Villarreal GK who literally could not make a save to save his own life. 2 low power nutmegs and a 50 yard dash like huh? LIV got lucky

  9. Crazy people think Andy Robertson can’t defend and he’s a liability because of a poor 45 mins. He’s just as good going backwards as he is forwards. Do these guys actually watch the game or just search Twitter reactions

  10. As always lucky.. Benfica and Villareal they got ??? Hurmm… While man city opponent Atletico madrid and Real madrid .. .if city win against real madrid , they deserved to win this competition !!

  11. Liverpool TV (aka ESPN FC), already having premature ejaculation over Liverpool's quadruple chances. It would be funny, if they don't end up winning any of these remaining three! ha ha

  12. no not once was Liverpool were not all over or scared and yea weren't great at 1st half but never afraid. Liverpool's full backs in the second half defended better, and we paced better. want RM 4 Salah's REVENGE

  13. I want Real Madrid for revenge and because they're European Royalty!!! City are not a Big Club…..theyre a rich Club, there is a difference. City are a brilliant team and have wonderful players and the 2nd best manager behind Jurgen!
