Mohamed Salah has told Sky Sports it is not the right time to talk about his contract situation at Liverpool with the club looking to secure a historic quadruple.

Salah, whose contract expires in June 2023, is close to agreeing a new deal with the club to keep him until the end of his career.

Meanwhile, Manchester City forward Phil Foden says Sunday’s visit of Liverpool, live on Sky Sports, is «the biggest game» – and the one «all footballers want to play in».

Champions Manchester City host second-placed Liverpool with a slender one-point advantage at the top of the Premier League table in what is proving to be a captivating title race.

  1. The money he is demanding is too huge. I have respect for this guy but he should move to China or somewhere where they can pay him that amount of money.
And Luis Diaz has shown that he can replace Salah. So ja he should go to where they will pay him 500,000 pounds a week because we can't afford such huge amount

  2. Salah will be at LFC but I care less I want LFC to win all, thorpies and I Want Salah finish the season with a bang n style then end of season let's talk about contract .. I hope he signs because if goes to other clubs then all legendary statue will gone. Salah has name here .. He best player at Liverpool. Salah if he,want to go is,OK fine we had enough fowards, but give then man his deserve pay he deserve it he is,Egyptian king

  3. How was possible Real Madrid did not get Luis Diaz !!! so bad left him go to Liverpool for a little 40M when Real Madrid could put 100M on the table. He is the man that should be playing in biggest Club ..the way is aiming to Madrid !!!!!!!!

  4. Drop him & sell him, on the field he's probably the most selfish player amongst LFC players, if he is not selfish he would have signed the new contract. He will be the likes of Owen, Torres, Can, Coutinho et al

  5. Mo agreeing a contract can mark the beginning of the end for the team coercion. There is no way Salah stays and VVD, Robo, Mane, Firminho, Diaz, and TAA will stay quiet and just take what they are given. The mess in United today started when Mourinho brought in Sanchez and pay him $350k, well above Likaku and Pogba. Maybe it is time for Liverpool team to ho through same. I would allow Salah to leave and improve the pay of other key players. Mo said he did not want to appear selfish. Why talk about the contract at all? Even if the reporter brought it up, he should have said no comment and move on
