"AN INCREDIBLE TEAM" – Mikel Arteta Post-Match Press Conference | Arsenal 0-2 Liverpool

Mikel Arteta feels hard done by with the result as his side lost two goals to zero at home tonight at the hands of Liverpool. Nevertheless, he is happy with how his side played against what he described as an «incredible team». Here’s what the Arsenal man said in full;

0:00 Intro
0:07 I don’t think the result reflected the performance. We were the better team and the way the boys performed were at a really good level.
0:42 The only difference in the game was the chances taken, we have closed that skill gap.
1:14 Ramsdale had some great spells in the game and the goal was unfortunate that he let in.
1:36 They know how well they played, we have now lost against City and Liverpool and played well. Against the top teams it is just about details and margins when you play top teams.
2:21 Every time after a defeat the players are hurting, they didn’t want to stop the run that we were on.
2:39 This is a brilliant Liverpool team
3:13 Thank you so much to the Premier League for putting a tight fixture schedule – I am very happy… it is not fair what they have done!

  1. Mourinho used to say his team were always the better team when they lost. Perhaps there's value in putting a positive spin on these situations but come on, Liverpool were Arsenal's equals in the first half and then dominated the second. End of story. COYR

  2. According too Arteta Crystal Palace should be top of the league, complaining about playing twice a week lol welcome to the top table. Let's see if they can put similar performances against the likes of Chelsea them we will see if they have closed the gap.

  3. Arsenal have had a huge turn around this season! Wasn't looking good at the start of the season they were bottom and Everton were top!

    How the tides have changed!

Arsenal are still a few years away to be considered league challenger's. But they are trending upwards!

Reminds me of Klopp's first two seasons we were playing good footy but lacked the big match experience. That was the difference between the two teams today YNWA ⛳

  4. Sure Lego Head, Liverpool has played 12 competitive games compared to Arsenal’s 6 games before this game. Your crying about the fixture list, didn’t you suspended our League Cup 1st leg in January with fake tests.

  5. Not fair
You play game a week. This is first midweek game in months for Arsenal. Lpool plays on 4 fronts every 3 day since beginning of the season. Really not fair you haven't got 2 reserve squads for 1 competition

  6. Thank god Alisson saved that 1vs1
    I was like “THIAGO WHY?????”
Until I saw Alisson save and said “oh thank you Ali!”

But Arsenal gave us a good game in the 1st half
