Liverpool FC News: Top Transfer Targets; Dembele and Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah Contract Updates

Liverpool transfer news, rumours, gossip and speculation including latest on Ousmane Dembele, Karim Adeyemi, Aurelien Tchouameni, Jarrod Bowen, Mohamed Salah, Franck Kessie, Adama Traore, Denis Zakaria, Frenkie de Jong, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Raphinha, Jude Bellingham, Luis Diaz and more. The January transfer window is drawing to a close, athough there is still time for potential incomings and outgoings at the club.

Liverpool have been urged to make a move for Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele, who is looking increasingly likely to leave the Spanish giants this month. Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele could be sanctioned for failing to report to training, according to reports from France.

RMC Sport [via GFFN] claims the Frenchman didn’t show up to training due to an upset stomach, but the excuse is not seen as ‘credible’ by the club and he could now be punished.

The report says the issue is in the hands of Barcelona’s legal department, but the breakdown in the relationship between the club and player has broken down further.

Dembele’s current contract expires at the end of the season but it’s become increasingly clear that an extension won’t be signed and Barcelona are now prepared to tell the player this transfer window.

Liverpool are among the players linked with Dembele, although Arsenal and Chelsea have also been credited with interest. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, if reports from Spain are to be believed.

El Nacional claims the Reds have been interested in the player since his time with Rennes, but were beaten by the La Liga giants to land his signature.

The report goes on to say competition in his position at the Bernabeu is ‘enormous’ and his game time has been limited so far this season.

It has been suggested that the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum has freed up space in Liverpool’s midfield that would provide much more game time for the 19-year-old.

However, Real have no intention of selling the player anytime soon given he only arrived at the club last summer.

But Liverpool will ‘wait as long as it takes’ for the player, the article claims and will continue to monitor his situation.

The Reds are certainly in need of midfield reinforcements and will be weighing up their options ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, given Real Madrid will likely demand a significant fee to part ways with a player they’ve only recently signed, there will surely be more feasible options higher up on the list.
Jarrod Bowen would be the »ideal’ Mohamed Salah replacement should the Egyptian leave Anfield in the summer, according to Tony Cascarino.

The pundit believes Bowen has all the qualities of a Jurgen Klopp player.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Cascarino has explained why he wants Liverpool to bring him in should Salah depart.
Liverpool have distanced themselves from a move for Denis Zakaria following speculation that they were interested in signing the midfielder.

The Switzerland international is out of contract in the summer and reports on Fridaysuggested the Reds were one of the front-runners to land the 25-year-old, with Borussia Monchengladbach favouring a sale this month as opposed to losing him for free at the end of the season.

Liverpool, though, have no interest in the midfielder at this current time according to Anfield club insiders.

Liverpool FC News: Roberto Firmino Expected to Reunite With Former Liverpool Favourite and Legend

Liverpool FC News: Roberto Firmino Expected to Reunite With Former Liverpool Favourite and Legend

Roberto Firmino’s bit-part role at Anfield this season will be of great annoyance to the man who has been an integral part of Liverpool’s success over the last few years. And having turned 30 not so long ago, the former Hoffenheim star could angle for a move to join Steven Gerrard at Aston Villa. The Brazilian was instrumental in Liverpool’s dominating 2018-19 season, where they won the Champions League and finished just one point off the Premier League.
Indeed, he only missed two games in the two seasons following that, scoring just 18 in the 74 games he played. And that prompted Liverpool to make a move for Diogo Jota, who has started life on Merseyside superbly.
Jota seems to be Jurgen Klopp’s preferred option, reducing Firmino to just four starts all season, while the Brazilian has only managed four goals, three of which came in one outing against Watford in October.
Managers love going back to clubs they’ve worked with and although Danny Ings has not worked out well for Aston Villa, that shouldn’t stop Steven Gerrard from bringing in more familiar faces as Philipe Coutinho is also linked with a loan move to Villa
Aston Villa needs a Firmino-type player, and I think Gerrard is going to to get the best out of him. When Steven Gerrard is talking about exciting the Villa fans, they’re going big.
Aston Villa will definitely go for one big Liverpool player, and it seems Roberto Firmino will be that player.
That’s the news surrounding the possible Roberto Firmino transfer to Aston Villa. Share your thoughts on what you make of this possibility. Will Steven Gerrard be able to please the Villa fans by bringing in these top stars? Leave a comment, a like and remember to subscribe to the channel for more updates
