  38. Milan aren’t returning back to the golden days. It’s so obvious, they had a fluke title win but Italian football now is just above average barring Napoli (who will deffo get their best players sold as well next season). These Italian teams need actual owners. Football as a whole has degraded to new lows. Look at the 80s->2000s. You had players in Serie A like Maradona, Platini, Scirea, Kaka, R9, Baresi, Maldini, SO MANY PPL. They played for the passion, not money. Every league was in its prime then. Players weren’t mercenaries like today. The defenders back then were leaders and put in aggressive tackles unlike today. Football is just a tactics system game now, no longer raw. Look at players rn like Mbappe, Haaland, Jude, Foden etc, doesn’t look likely that they’ll reach the heights of the greatest. Also, the top Serie A teams, most of their teams were Italian natives, now they just get foreign players but Italy need to start producing more elites again. Same with Spain.

  48. Rafael Leao is heavily distracted by negotiations for an extension deal. What he is asking for is peanuts compared to what important players at other clubs earn. Give the young man what he is due, it may set a dangerous precedent for future negotiations but it is a gamble Maldini and Co. must make. The immediate future success of the club rests on it.
