  1. Been to both cities and I yet cannot feel Manchester's a sky blue town. I've seen far more red stuff than sky blue. On the other hand, I was surprised by the fact I've met thousands of Evertonians in Liverpool and saw blue flags wave from the windows almost everywhere. Of course LFC fans are massive, but my feelings are that most of them come from out of town and only gather with such high numbers when they win something, so that Scouse Liverpudlians can mingle with out-of-towners, giving you the feeling they're so massive. In ordinary days, Liverpool really appeared to me as a bluenose town to the crunch with fashionable red stores and stuff: same old story, one is the winning team, the other is the people's team.
In Manchester instead I did find out so many United fans I couldn't take them all as glory hunters, they did look to me as ordinary people aside from winning trophies and to be fair I hardly met sky blue fans in the streets.
Rome is totally Roma, Lazio is almost unexistant. Milan is 50/50, if Inter wins they'll seem to be the dominant club, if AC Milan wins it'll seem it's the other way round. In Genoa, Genoa fans – despite moving constantly from 1st to 2nd division – are overwhelming, Sampdoria fans are definitely less than that. In Glasgow………… well, it used to be mainly Rangers, but as time goes on Celtic grows bigger. I wouldn't say it's a green-white town, it's still slightly more blue. As for the rest of the west coast of Scotland, well, that's definitely Rangers, Celtic are a minority.

  2. …And the LFC crowd at the Strand (waterfront area) was only the last 1/2 mile of the 6 mile route that was absolutely stuffed with supporters!
I was waiting at the Strand for 4 hours – it was an epic celebration and party atmosphere from start to finish. And not one single arrest throughout! Be proud LFC fans, be proud!!
