  1. how on earth is the ref supposed to know wat kind of injury it is???? ridiculous & i a newcastle fan… plus players will pretend they hav head injuries to stop the game..

  2. Players are holding their heads way too much. If the refs start stopping every moment when a player clutches for his head perhaps he is off for a concussion test or something like that to negate players from doing this intentionally.

  3. Weird idea. What if 9 players linked armed and tightly encircled the ball, like a standing scrum, with one guy in the middle dribbling it, and just move gradually into the oppositions goal? Is that allowed?

  4. There is no law for the referee to blow the whistle. He is in charge of the field of play as Craig pointed out, player acting to fit their purpose .The referee saw what was going on. Frank Leboeuf, I am sure if he was in opposition he would wanted to score in that situation.

  5. The referee wasn’t focused on the 2 players falling to the ground he was following play. The ball went out and came back in again and there was 1 player still down at the time then the goal was scored. All well and good blaming the ref but his attention wasn’t there. Complaining after the match saying it shouldn’t be given is bs if if was a head injury the manager should have taken him off. Or was the duration of the injury just long enough to get attacking play stopped then it suddenly clears up once play is stopped. You’re not suffering from a head injury if you can play on.

  6. The only way to nip play-acting in the bud is by amending the rules to allow referees to send players caught play-acting into a sin-bin for a period of 3 mins of play. Every subsequent play-acting offence by a player (regardless whether same player or otherwise) from the same team will have the offending player's penalty time increased by 2 mins. Players might still risk one or two in a game, but I guarantee you no manager is going to encourage play-acting, diving, or otherwise. Stricter managers may even choose to punish their own players if they fake an injury in a game.

  7. Mike Dean should have blown the whistle but he did the right think by letting play on. Hayden had a bad landing but decided to hold his head to corn the referee. He faked the head injury which was never there.

  8. Shakas anti Liverpool, and talking bile a per usual..
There was no head collision, graig is spot on here..
    Players dropping likes flies..

  9. Everyone patting the Ref on the back…..
No one mentioned him unsighting the GK for the 3rd goal by running across the striker and blocking the view of Shelvey and Dubravka.

Mike Dean is a bad ref, has always been a bad ref and was clearly bias as his children are season ticket holders at liverpool.
No ref should ever be in the position he was for liverpool 3rd goal

  10. Goal should not stand because newcastle players colliding…?? Why not use the excuses you wankers gave when AB1 was fouled and say both newcastle players are not strong enough

  11. I just saw a video someone faked a head injury after the ball hit his head from corner a professional football player. So the ball deserved the red card. He was down holding his head and acting lol. This needs to stop everytime the ball goes from corner someone down with a head injury fakes

  12. How are these so called experts being fooled? It WASN,T a head injury. The player played the rest of the match. These two clowns collided with each other. Why should Liverpool have stopped? Somebody tell me.

  13. If the play is stopped like that without a foul, defenders will start going down holding their head whenever possible to avoid a possible attack. ?
