  1. I love listening to this podcast. In fact I can’t remember the last time I missed it but I’ve not enjoyed this and the last show at all because of Theo Squires.

I understand he doesn’t care about international football so the AFCON means nothing to him. Which is fair enough.

What is wrong is disrespecting African footballers. Yes, as Liverpool fans we should express our concerns about these players going AFCON but at the same time we should respect that they’re from countries. If we don’t respect these countries or that some Liverpool fans are from these place then at least we should respect these players who bring joy to our faces every week.

Imagine Klopp being on an interview and saying ooh Naby is injured, this is a positive thing for Liverpool because he’s not going to AFCON. Or, Egypt and Senegal should be knocked out early so that they can return to Liverpool early.

Klopp will never do this because he respect those people. These are the kind of opinions Theo Squires have been giving in the last 2 pods and it’s disappointing to hear. I’m not sure if this is a value of a Liverpool fan.

Personally, I don’t support England but when Trent is excluded in the squad i’m silently happy for Liverpool knowing England’s loss is Liverpool’s gain. But also i’m disappointed for him because I know his talent deserves more.
